Trusting Jesus as our Saviour

Hi folks,
Yay! My first post :) Hope you all are having a great time with On Mission with God...must admit when i first saw the all-too-familiar authors' names, it did send some little shivers down my spine, having done 2 volumes of masterlife with mr. willis :) and when i did get started on it, the all-too-familiar layout and writing styles didn't help much to alleviate the mindset formulated about it, much less eliminate them. But as i begin to really dwell on the materials and allowed the Holy Spirit to help...i can say now that in this case, familiarity did not lead to contempt :)

What particularly struck me most was the statement that read, " We must trust Jesus as our Saviour. I took some time to ask myself this question - do i trust Jesus enough? There are so many things that i trust/put my trust in without a doubt - :

1. My school/workplace or MOE for that matter will not "close shop" overnight and leave me with no job.

2. The roof that is above me will not crumble and the floor that is beneath will not give way.

3. The banks (Yes! the banks) where i deposit my money with will not fold/run away with my money.

4. The lift i take to my floor will not fly skywards.

5. The roads i travel on will not buckle under the weight of the vehicles.

6. I know i get petrol and not something else when i stop to fill my tank at the kiosk.

7. The food that i'm served at the hawker centre is not poisoned.

8. The public transport that i take will take me to my destination and not change route suddenly.

9. Books that i read give me correct information. When i read that mosquitoes have 47 teeth, i take it as a FACT.

i could go on and on about the things/people we put our trust in.
These things are designed by strangers who do not know us, run by people we do not know, built by workers from foreign lands. And yet, we freely give our trust.

Can i then not trust God who is my Father, Saviour and Friend?
The One who is Master Creator, Architect and Engineer.

How can i still doubt?
The very basis of my christianity hinges on this...trusting Jesus as my Saviour.
